Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • University or above, graduated from Law School is preferred
  • Admitted as a legal practitioner in Vietnam
  • Exceptional knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and industry standards.

Education & Experience:

  • B.S. or B.A
  • 5 – 8 year working experience
  • 2 -5 management experience
  • Computer skill
  • Working in HCM Office with frequent travel to Hanoi Office

Key Performance Indicators

  • Being legal partner to all departments and provide business supports 
    • Negotiate, review, advise and document all contractual arrangements and company secretarial matters, including service agreements, real property leases, inter-company agreements, board resolutions, articles of association, statutory filings, applying for business relevant licenses (excl. product licenses), manage/coordinate company provincial representative, in charge of all required reports regarding MLM Law, etc. : 20%
    • Work with other departments and external legal counsels in Vietnam in connection with both contentious and non-contentious matters: 10%
  • Compliance with corporate policies
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in all respects, including direct selling or multi-level marketing, employment, product registration, leases and tax rules: 15%
    • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and strategies, including updating and revising (where appropriate) corporate forms, Policies & Procedures, Distributor Agreement, Sales Compensation Plan, Automatic Re-Ordering Terms and Conditions, and other corporate policies or legal documents: 15%
  • Internal Legal team alignment
    • Manage and/or supervise the work of junior legal staff and external legal counsels in Vietnam as well as liaise with in-house legal team in Company’s regional & head office to ensure global consistency with corporate policies and procedures: 10%
  • Lead the action to establish a good relationship and bridge with local governments as well as act as the point of contact in all company legal matters internally & externally
    • To proactively approach to government functions and establish the relationship by routine visiting and involvement in relevant activities: 20%
  • Suggest and lead the external affair activities in local direct selling association
    • To initiate and facilitate the activities with ACDSV & MLMA-VN like DS industrial meetings, seminars, law and regulation propaganda activities, etc: 5%.
  • Crisis management: provide positive and effective suggestions and solutions for issues and crisis to higher management, lead and engage relevant departments to cooperate in joint efforts, make efficient and timely communication to government branches, to make sure the issues and crisis bring least impact to the company
    • To lead or play an active role in the progress, provide positive and effective suggestions and solutions for issues and crisis to higher management, lead and engage relevant departments to cooperate in joint efforts, make efficient and timely communication to government branches: 5%

 

 

What you will do
  • Work with and provide advice to other departments for a purpose of ensuring business operations in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and global consistency with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Covers responsibilities for all legal issues faced by Nu Skin and with an aim to ensuring business operations in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and global consistency with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Cooperate with internal departments and provide business supports such as applying for business relevant licenses (excl. product licenses), manage/coordinate company provincial representative, in charge of all required reports regarding MLM Law, etc.
  • Lead the action to establish a good relationship and bridge with local governments as well as act as the point of contact in all company legal matters internally & externally
  • Suggest and lead the external affair activities with local direct selling association and get the advantage through PR activity to promote our company brand in related government units.
  • Crisis management: provide positive and effective suggestions and solutions for issues and crisis to higher management, lead and engage relevant departments to cooperate in joint efforts, make efficient and timely communication to government branches, to make sure the issues and crisis bring least impact to the company
  • Make sure to get the newest regulatory or related information, doing the analysis about business impact, come out the proper solution, and update relevant departments or the management on a regular basis.
  • Plan and execute people management and development to keep the talent in legal affairs team
